Seth McFarlane’s first feature film, TED, in theaters next Friday

In theaters June 29, 2012

Seth McFarlane, creator of the animated comedy Family Guy, will be debuting his first attempt at a feature film next Friday. The premise — a little boy’s wish that his teddy bear could talk to him comes true — sounds innocent enough, but give it an R-rating and McFarlane can use all the four-letter words and crude jokes he wants.

Mark Wahlberg stars as John Bennet, the now grown-up boy whose wish comes true, and McFarlane himself voices the titular character, Ted. Mila Kunis co-stars as John’s girlfriend, Lori Collins, who finds Ted to be a nuisance and a bad influence. From the looks of it — Ted and John sharing a bong, Ted bringing home strippers, f-bombs galore — Ted seems to be going in the same off-putting yet entertaining direction as Family Guy.

Below are some official images, a junket interview with Wahlberg and Kunis, the official trailer, and a Funny or Die spoof of the film.
