The Great Gatsby: Official Trailer

The Great Gatsby, in theaters Christmas 2012

Baz Luhrmann. Leonardo DiCaprio. Carey Mulligan. Cool music. So far, The Great Gatsby is looking like it’s in pretty good shape for its Christmas release! Romeo + Juliet and Moulin Rouge are two of my favorite films of all time, and The Great Gatsby seems to be following in their cinematic footsteps. Also, if I remember correctly, Moulin Rouge was a Christmas release as well. I’ve heard complaints about the music, but I think that’s what makes a Baz Luhrmann film a Baz Luhrmann film. That, and gothic-romantic cinematography. Baz Luhrmann does these period pieces and somehow makes them seem present-day with modern music and stylish costumes. I’m looking forward to watching this one during Christmas!

P.S. Is it just me or does Leonardo DiCaprio look really handsome, like, Titanic handsome in this trailer? Just a thought!
